Important news from your school nurses:
The following changes will be required for the 2010-2011 school year: All students entering 6th –12th grades will be required to have 2 doses of varicella (chickenpox) vaccine or history of disease. If your child had the chicken pox, a signed written statement from the parent/guardian indicating month and year of disease is sufficient. They will also need 1 dose of tetanus-diphtheria-acellular pertussis vaccine (Tdap) given on or after 10 years of age and 1 dose of meningococcal conjugate vaccine (MCV4). In an effort to make sure that your child is in compliance with the new immunization requirements before the start of the next school year, please schedule them for an appointment soon.
