Teachers will be available to meet with students and families during Open House on Thursday, August 3rd from 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm. The high school will be open extended hours, 3:00 pm – 5:30 pm, this day for parents/guardians who wish to purchase physical education uniforms, sports passes, yearbooks, parking passes, pay book rental, and tend to any other financial obligations. (All drivers parking in the East Noble High School parking lot must purchase a parking permit for $10.) Student folder packets containing lunch schedules, ID cards, and other important material will also be available for pickup during this time.
This year during Open House, we will be offering a parent and student training for families of students who are new to our district. The students will be introduced to PowerSchool where their current grades and schedule can be viewed. They will also learn the basics of running the Canvas program, which is the system that all teachers use to run their teacher websites, post daily assignments, and where students will turn their work in to teachers. Students are encouraged to bring their laptops to this training. Parents will be given a tutorial on how to set up their PowerSchool parent accounts, schedule alerts, and check their students’ grades and attendance. Both trainings will be held in room 612 at 6:30 pm on Thursday, August 3rd.
